A Swiss Automaton "Station" Music Box
Possibly Henry Vidoudez, St. Croix
with a 6-inch cylinder, playing six airs, with carved wood dancing bear and trainer, coin operated mechanism, originally for ten pfennig, now for five cents, in upright walnut case, with painted glass cover to lower compartment, and later topper sign.
Height of cabinet 21 1/2 x width 15 x depth 11 inches.

Condition
The case in good, stable condition. The backboard with a later replaced panel and the proper left base moulding reattached with metal carpenter's nails. The later topper sign with repaired break. The musical mechanism works and the figures move, the bear's movement slightly sporadic and would benefit from oiling. Additional images and video available upon request.
